Anti Aging Hand Cream

As the years go by, the signs of aging gradually begin to show up. While aging is not a topic we like to dwell on, it is unavoidable.

You can't just hope that the signs of aging go away without effort. However, you can combat against the usual signs, such as fine lines, brown spots, wrinkles, age spots and dry patches.

It might take a bit of effort and dedication, but the payoff is that your body keeps looking great and you feel good too.

A lot of us do remember to eat anti-aging foods, use an anti-aging skin cream on our body, and even stock up on anti-aging supplements. Yet, how many people truly pay enough attention to their hands by using a good and reliable anti-aging hand cream?

The benefits of making your own anti-aging hand creams are:

  • There is higher purity, as there are no added chemicals in the process.
  • You get to save money because the natural ingredients are usually cheaper and may be already sitting on your kitchen counter!
  • A clean, active and fresh batch of cream is always available for you.
  • It’s easy and fun to do.

Choosing a Suitable Anti-Aging Hand Cream

An effective anti-aging regimen should significantly reduce wrinkles and fine lines, remove age spots, and moisturize the skin. The same goes for keeping your hands smooth, beautiful and supple.

Whichever type or brand of anti-aging hand cream you choose; you must ensure it is safe, effective and healthy. A homemade hand cream formulated using natural and organic ingredients, is safer than the chemical laden options. Some organic beauty spas offer natural anti-aging hand treatment that incorporate the use of anti-aging vitamins and supplements for better results.

Natural Anti-Aging Hand Cream Recipes

1. Basic Moisturizing Serum.

Vitamin E and C, in their pure forms, are the most common and effective anti-aging vitamins. To make your moisturizing serum, you need a sterilized 4 Oz bottle filled with distilled water, 2 tsp of pure vitamin C powder, 1 tsp of pure vitamin E, and 1 tsp of vegetable glycerine. You can get these at most health stores at a cheap rate.

  • Carefully pour the vitamin C and the vitamin E into the water, and then shake the bottle till it all dissolves.
  • Add the vegetable glycerine to stabilize the mixture and you're all done.
  • Store in your fridge or a cool dark corner and use it up within 2 weeks. Use on your hands often to keep them fresh. If there's any left over after that period of time, you should discard it.

2. DIY Sugar Scrub for Hands.

To combat rough and dry skin patches on the hands, rub your hands with raw, evaporated cane sugar. The sugar grains should be crushed into a very fine consistency before usage. Rinse off and then use your moisturizer or use the vitamin serum above. This routine can be repeated as often as possible.

  • Keep the rose water aside and heat all the other stuff on a stove, using a stainless steel pan, for about 6 minutes.
  • Be sure to use a low heat setting to gently melt the wax.
  • After that, pour it into a blender and pulse a few times while you add the rose water a bit at a time. You should get a cream with nice, fluffy consistency.

Other Anti Aging Hand Creams

If you want to buy your hand cream from the stores instead, be sure to check the label to see what ingredients were used. Avoid those with alcohol as they may dry out your skin further. The best anti-aging skin care products are those with keratin, coenzyme Q10, collagen, exfoliants, anti-oxidants and natural moisturizers.

You can go for products such as Burt's Bees Ageless Skin Smoothing Hand Cream, Davines Hand Kit, Green Apple Age Defy Organic Hand Cream, or St. Ives Intensive Healing Formula. They are based on natural ingredients and a lot of users have given positive reviews about them.

If you’d rather not prepare your hand creams yourself, or you prefer products that would last for a long time without going bad, then you should opt for any of the good brands out there.

While we cannot avoid the aging process, we can still take steps to reduce its effect. With the proper products and skin maintenance regimen, aging becomes easier to deal with.

Always make sure that any cream you choose to use, homemade or not, are safe for you. They should also be free of harsh chemicals and toxins that could cause more damage to your skin. Eventually, what we all strive for is firm, smooth and wrinkle free skin that looks absolutely ravishing even as we get older.
