DIY Banana Face Mask

DIY Banana Mask Step by Step

Banana Face Pack  

Leaves the skin shiny and healthy looking.

Mash a ripened banana

Apply all over the face

Let sit 15 minutes

Rinse with cold water

Dab skin with ice to tighten pores


Banana, Baking Soda and Tumeric Powder

Breaks down dirt, removes excess oil, unclogs pores  

1 mashed ripe banana

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp turmeric powder

Mix and apply to face with a makeup brush (Tumeric powder can stain fingers)

Leave on face 10-15 minutes

Wash face with lukewarm water but no soap

Pat dry

Apply moisturizer

Banana, Honey and Lemon Juice

kills bacteria, reduces dark spots and skin, lightens skin  

1 mashed ripe banana

1 tsp honey

1 tsp lemon juice

Mix and pat on face

Leave on face 10-15 minutes

Rinse with warm water but no soap


Banana, Thick Yogurt and Orange Juice

Hydrates, moisturizes, prevents aging and wrinkles 1 mashed ripe banana

1 tsp thick yogurt 1 tsp orange juice

Mix and apply a layer to face for 1 minute

Apply a second layer over the first for 15 minutes

Rinse with cold water to tighten pores

Apply moisturizer


Banana, Brown Sugar, Coconut or Olive Oil

Cleanses, moisturizes and leaves skin shiny  1 mashed banana

1/4 C brown sugar

1 T coconut oil or olive oil

Mix and apply to face for 10-15 minutes

Rinse with lukewarm water but no soap

* store in refrigerator for use 3-5 days

Some other frequently used ingredients for use with banana for facial and hair masks include mango, Epsom salt, honey and oatmeal. You can have fun creating your own banana recipes for use as skin and hair care.
