The basic coconut oil and sugar scrub Ingredients
½ cup of Sugar. (White or Brown) If you have sensitive skin or you are making a coconut oil face scrub, brown sugar is softer and more gentle. White sugar can be used as a body scrub. Raw sugar is even rougher and can be used for rough, dry areas such as the feet.
½ cup of Coconut Oil (Any carrier oil of your choice) Coconut oil is great for all skin types.
20 drops of essential oils of your choice
Mix all the ingredients together, place in an airtight container. Can be kept for up to three weeks.
How to use a sugar scrub
Works really well if you rub it into damp skin. Rub in circular motions.I keep mine in the shower. I wash myself first, then I use the scrub and rinse off again. Your skin should feel silky soft afterwards.

Coconut oil Sugar scrub variations

Lemon sugar scrub:
½ cup brown sugar, ½ cup coconut oil, 1 tsp vitamin E oil, 20 drops of lemon essential oil.
This simple sugar scrub is anti aging, acne fighting and is great for oily skin.
Coffee coconut oil scrub:
½ cup white sugar, ½ cup coconut oil, 5 tbsp ground coffee (preferably organic)
This homemade sugar scrub is great as a cellulite reducing body scrub.
Lavender sugar scrub:
½ cup brown sugar, ½ cup coconut oil, 20 drops of lavender essential oil.
This brown sugar coconut oil scrub is especially nice to use on your hands, but is great for the whole body. Lavender essential oil is used to treat many skin ailments including things such as eczema and psoriasis.
Vanilla sugar scrub:
½ cup brown sugar, ½ cup coconut oil, the seeds from 5 pods of vanilla, 3 drops of vanilla essential oil.

Honey sugar scrub:
½ cup brown sugar, ⅓ cup coconut oil, 4 tbsp honey.
This coconut oil brown sugar scrub can be used anywhere on the body, but is especially good as a facial scrub. Honey is full of antioxidants and antibacterial properties. Also great for healing the skin.

½ cup of White sugar, ½ cup coconut oil, 20 drops of eucalyptus essential oil.
