Homemade Face Wash / Cleanser

Looking for an all-natural face wash? Here I have mentioned two of my favourites…

A natural facial cleanser can do so much more for your skin than over the counter products that can sometimes do more harm than good! Try these for just two weeks, you won’t believe the difference!

Rosewater and Witch Hazel Natural Face Cleanser

This cleanser is toning, cleansing and helps to reduce inflammation. It can be used by all skin types. It is especially good on aging skin and fine lines around the eye area (Being careful not to get this mixture into your eyes)

You can make your own hydrolats or you can purchase them online and at some health stores.

  • 100ml Rosewater hydrolat
  • 50ml Witchhazel hydrolat

Mix the two ingredients. Keep it in an air tight container. Can be kept for several weeks. Apply twice daily with cotton balls or cotton rounds. Leave to dry naturally on the skin.

Lime and Orange Blossom Homemade Facial Cleanser

This cleanser will hydrate the skin and is also amazing on aging skin. This cleanser cleans, tones and balances the PH of the skin.

  • 1 tbsp dried lime flowers or elder flowers (for an anti-inflammatory effect)
  • 50 ml ACV (Apple Cider Vinegar)
  • 150ml orange blossom hydrolat

Leave the lime flowers in the vinegar for one hour. Strain and throw away the lime flowers, keep the vinegar. Add the orange blossom hydrolat to the vinegar. Store in a dark, glass bottle. Apply twice daily to the face and neck using cotton rounds/balls. Leave to dry naturally.
