I've been waiting for the cold season to write this article. I was just outside and it's cold.
The reason I've waited to write this is quite simple -- it's about honey benefits for skin.
What? You still don't understand why I've waited? Okay -- picture this:
It's a scorching hot day in July. The sun is directly over your head. The sweat beads on your forehead are in an all-out war against your eyes as they continuously send in aerial assaults to disrupt your vision. All I am saying here is that it's super hot outside. One of those hot days when it's simply not cool. Not cool at all.
We live in bear country. Bears love honey. At least, I think they do. Yogi and boo-boo willingly took part in some ridiculous shenanigans with the sole intent of getting a pic-a-nic basket.
I thought they wanted it because it had a jar of honey in it.
If I am wrong about that -- don't tell me. At 36, I don't think I could handle my childhood being torn apart like that.
Before I take this introduction to another topic that's totally off course...
I waited until winter so that my girlfriend wouldn't know how great honey is for your skin, because we are avid campers. We spend a ton of time in the woods. She's a little...off...so, I know she's be dipping herself in honey while we are camping.
You get the idea now, right? Okay.
How? Well, honey is a natural humectant. This simply means that it draws moisture from the air into the skin and ensures it's retained in the layers where it’s needed. This gives you long-lasting, natural hydration for your skin.
Who doesn't need that while camping, right?
Check this out, though -- honey can actually repair skin and protect it from environmental damage.
Before applying your honey mixtures, always use a natural homemade cleanser beforehand, for the best results. After leaving your honey mixture to sit for at least 10 minutes, rinse off and pat the skin dry. Follow with a natural, homemade toner and all natural moisturizer.
Our honey recipes for skin care:

simple, Just mix 2
tablespoons of raw honey with a cup of hot water. Ensure all the honey is
dissolved and then add it to your candle-lit bath with some smooth jazz
playing at a reasonable volume.
Okay...the candles and the jazz are optional but, I guarantee it will make the experience even more beautiful.
I am talking about Smooth, waxy skin protection.

Honey is beautiful. It's that simple.
Don't forget to blow out those candles.
