Sensitive Skin Eye Mask

Clay and Witch hazel Eye Mask

Most masks are too harsh to be used around the delicate eye area, but this mask is gentle. We recommend you read all about making clay masks before attempting this one. You can purchase your hydrolats (hydrosol), or make your own.

  • ½ tbsp. Witch hazel hydrolat (hydrosol)
  • ½ tbs. Cornflower or rosewater hydrolat
  • 1 tbsp. white or green clay
  • Still bottled water

Witch Hazel Hydrosol Floral Water With Spray Cap - 500ml

Follow the method mentioned here for clay mask making. After adding your hydrolats to your clay you can leave it to rest for 30 minutes without stirring. Then mix well until smooth.

Apply a thin layer to the thin skin around the eyes. Leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse with water and pat dry. Can be applied twice daily for two weeks and then less as needed. You can make larger amounts of this mixture, if you wanted to apply it to your face and neck too.

This mask can be kept for only 8 hours in the refrigerator.

Benefits of this mask

This sensitive skin eye mask can be used as a cleanser, toner and also to reduce inflammation. It can be used on all skin types. A Witch hazel mask is the best type of mask for eye bags and eye puffiness.

For another gentle cleanser/moisturiser that can be used under the eyes, we suggest homemade almond milk.
