Vetiver Essential Oil

Vetiver Essential Oil ~ The Oil of Tranquility

Vetiver essential oil “Vetiveria zizanioides", is an oil that is extracted from the root of vetiver grass.

Vetiver oil, it is one of the most calming and relaxing essential oils. It is said to relieve any trauma / shock. It is often used in muscle relaxing massage oil products.

My favourite smell, is the smell of the earth, just after it has rained; this oil has that same earthy smell.

The oil is often used to relieve muscle spasms, to help with blood circulation and it is used as an antiseptic.

There are many oils that can be used as a base (carrier oil) for Vertiver. I like to use coconut oil with it.
