Vitamin D

Vitamin D is a soluble fat and is beneficial for the whole body, including the scalp and hair. It is necessary for the body because it absorbs calcium, which is essential for healthy follicles.

Vitamin D is found in very few food items like egg yolk, beef liver, milk, soymilk, tuna, oatmeal, orange juice, mushrooms, ricotta cheese, cabbage, carrot, apricot, peach, cheese, and even fish liver oil. People who are exposed to sunlight for about 15 to 20 minutes daily, do not need vitamin D supplements.

Vitamin E    

Vitamin E improves overall health and growth of hair. Vitamin E has the ability to grow new blood vessels and increase circulation to the scalp.

The most common food sources include cold-pressed vegetable oils, wheat germ oil, soybeans, raw seeds and nuts, dried beans and leafy green vegetables.
